Egg cups

These simple egg cups are thrown off-the-hump on the potter’s wheel (centred individually from a large piece of clay - see final photo) and are all unique in shape. They come in four different glazes, all of which vary slightly in tone depending on where they are nestled throughout the kiln. They are thrown in a golden-brown clay body that flashes grey in places and shows random, dark flecks of iron-bearing basalt through the glaze. 

Reduction fired in a gas kiln.  Colour variation in the glaze and clay body will differ from piece to piece due to the nature of the making and firing process. Maker’s mark at the base.
