Sgraffito coffee cup

A delicate, finely thrown cup that flares from near the base to the rim. A perfect size for coffee or loose-leaf tea. A pale blue celadon glaze shows underneath an apple green celadon at the base and through sgraffito lines. Thrown in a clay body that and shows random, dark flecks of iron-bearing basalt through the glaze.

Reduction fired in a gas kiln.  Colour and surface variation in the glaze and clay body will differ from piece to piece due to the nature of the making and firing process. 

Approx. 8.5 x 8.5cm (rim), 180ml

Dishwasher and microwave safe.
