Blue coffee cups

Delicate, finely thrown cups that flare from near the base to the rim. A perfect size for coffee or loose-leaf tea. The glaze is a dusty blue celadon and there is a band of yellow ochre oxide inside and out that melts and fades into the glaze as a darker band. Thrown in a clay body that and shows random, dark flecks of iron-bearing basalt through the glaze.

Reduction fired in a gas kiln.  Colour and surface variation in the glaze and clay body will differ from piece to piece due to the nature of the making and firing process.
